Does Porsche warranty cover maintenance?

The warranty periods begin on the day of delivery to the customer, in the following periods:

  • 4 year/50,000 MLS warranty for all new vehicles whichever occurs first*;
  • 2-year warranty for genuine OEM parts, exchange parts, and accessories, which are used or sold outside of warranty work. The warranty period for Porsche parts which are used in connection with warranty work ends simultaneously with the warranty for the purchased item, which has become defective;
  • 12-year long-life warranty for rust holes in the body. (Please refer to the conditions in the Warranty and Maintenance handbook)

*Applies for vehicles both purchased and registered in USA and Canada.

How often should a Porsche be serviced?

Regardless of the year, model or engine, it is crucial that you regularly maintain your Porsche. In general, we recommend that you should expect to service your Porsche every 10,000 miles or once per year, whichever comes first.

How often does a Porsche need an oil change?

We recommend that your Porsche receive an oil change and filter replacement every 20,000 miles or every two years, whichever comes first. Just like engine oil, the spark plugs in your vehicle do a lot for the maintenance of your Porsche's engine.
