Reinventing for the Future

Porsche has been making thrilling sports cars for over 80 years and they have proved time and time again that they know what they are doing. For the 2017 model year, Porsche made some monumental changes by replacing the naturally aspirated flat 6-cylinder with a Boxer 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. Aside from the mechanical upgrade, the new 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster has gotten a refreshed and revitalized exterior with some new updates.

On the outside the biggest change for the new Boxster is the new headlights and taillights. In both cases LEDs have been added as well as standard Bi-Xenon headlight, but full-LEDs are offered as an optional upgrade. Along with the new lights, the front bumper is slightly reshaped as well as the rear quarter-panel areas. The redesign allows for more air to be forced into the engine to help keep the engine cooler. From the outside the new designs are barely noticeable, unless, well, you're like us and live and breathe Porsche.

The interior of the new model is also relatively the same as the old model, but that’s not a bad thing. Porsche is above it all a luxury brand and it never been more apparent than in this Boxster. Plush leather wraps around the seats making for an incredibly soft, yet supportive ride. The soft touch materials surrounding you are comforting, but the accenting wood, aluminum, or carbon fiber really bring the interior together. Finishing off the interior is the center infotainment centered on by the 7.0 inch touchscreen. The audio system starts with a standard eight-speaker system, but there is a Bose® Surround Sound System with ten speakers, or the top of the line, Burmester® High-End Surround Sound System that will engulf you in sound with 12 extremely high-end speakers.
