New Porsche 911 Turbo is all Porsche, Says CNET

The 911 Turbo is still Porsche's heart and soul, regardless of the German sports car manufacturer's growing commitment to, and success with, luxury SUVs and sedans. So CNET was pleased to report in a new review of the 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo that the quintessential sports car is better than ever. Click "play" in the video clip below to hear the full report.

The 911's 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six now makes 540 horsepower and 523 pound-feet of torque thanks to new injectors, higher fuel pressure and reworked intake ports. The even-more-powerful S reviewed by CNET uses unique turbos with bigger impellers to realize 580 hp and 553 pound-feet. As CNET is sure to point out, turbo lag is not an issue.
